“Old Friends” New Album
The Greater Binghamton Area music veterans “Old Friends”
started work on their first full length album project at New
Clear Studios in July. “We have nearly 100 years of
experience between us, so I think we’re ready”
Tom Dimock says with a Irish chuckle. Old Friends offers
an acoustic folk/rock foundation with many elements of Celtic
and Irish music, country, pop, and rock n’ roll. Jim
Hull, Tim Emmons and Tom share lead vocals, a la’ Crosby,
Stills and Nash. Jim handles rhythm guitar and many of the
demanding vocal impersonations. Tom excels on fiddle, guitar,
mandolin and banjo. If threatened with a Guinness cut-off,
he’ll also pull out the tin whistle. Tim is a very talented
keyboard player, guitar picker and certified Foosballian.
The band plans to use some “old friends” as guest
musicians to give the record additional color. Visit Old Friends
